The College Park Tumbleweeds are honored to partner with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as an inspiration for our annual 65 Roses Invitational Meet. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disease that causes the body’s mucus to become thick and sticky and changes the way that sweat glands cause the body to perspire. The lungs, liver, pancreas, intestines, sex organs and sinuses are a few of the major areas of the body affected. Additionally, one of the major issues with CF is the lung infections and overall lung damage that occurs on a frequent basis.
With your participation in the 65 Roses Invitational, we can help raise awareness and funding for this genetic disorder. Cystic Fibrosis needs a cure, and we want to do our part to find one!
The Donna Stuart Invitational Meet is to honor our founder who established the College Park Tumbleweeds Gymnastics program in 1972. Donna Stuart worked tirelessly to create a program that fulfilled her vision of promoting competitive excellence in young girls through the sport of gymnastics.
